About the Event

It's Moss Rock Festival's Sweet 16 in 2021! We hope you'll join us November 6-7 as the fall festival returns to the Hoover Metropolitan Complex to explore Nature, Smart Living, Art + Design.

2021 features include:

1) ARTIST ROW - At the forefront of the festival is a unique collection of juried artwork from 100 exhibiting ARTISTS. Many artists featured at the festival are influenced by or depict nature in their art or work with natural materials like wood, clay, and glass.

2) Smart Living Market - offers patrons access to interesting local choices for everyday living including fresh, organic, locally made, sustainable products as well as consumables in the area of health, home, body, and cuisine.

3) +Design - these artisans and partners are intermixed with artists and will be showing off their place in the world of design and function and how their creations support, guide, complement, and surprise everyday life.

+DESIGN SPECIAL FEATURE: an exhibition of Storyteller Overland game-changing van designs built for the adventurers and explorers among us.

4) Nature - exhibitors, organizations, and others who can connect enthusiasts with the great outdoors, wildlife, gardening, and getting active in nature

5) Sweetery - confections by area bakers and chefs will be available in the Smart Living Market.

6) Crescent Stage - Live performances by local talent, including Alabama's first Black Poet Laureate, Ashley M. Jones

7) Cafe - yummy choices from food trucks and other local caterers including Aww Shucks, Candy Cones, Cousin's Maine Lobster Birmingham, Encore Rouge, Rae Rae's Catering, Snow Biz Bham, Tamale Queen, and TRVL Love Koffee

Lounges - hang out, ponder an art purchase, people watch, grab a cocktail.

9) Beer Garden's 10th year - a craft tasting event featuring 50+ brews to taste from local breweries & homebrewers, a cool 13oz Belgian commemorative glass sponsored by The Beer Hog, football games of the day on Mr. Mancave screen, Beer floats by Free the Hops, and beer snacks.

10) Special Photography Exhibition - "Landscapes | Our Alabama", a curated Large Format Exhibition that speaks to the state’s bountiful natural wonders, its conservation and the conversation that a work of art can stimulate; in this case, inspiring viewers appreciation and awe, which can raise awareness and support for sustainability and sensitivity to the intersection of the built and natural environment.

11) Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition is coming out to Moss Rock Festival and will provide all you need to know about Electric Vehicles. We call it EV-University. Get ready to walk away with LOTS of good info and materials about this future Eco-Drive news.

12) Poet Laureate Tent - Alabama’s first Black Poet Laureate Ashley M. Jones will be joined by other local poets including Jahman Ariel Hill, Laura Secord, Salaam Green, Alina Stefanescu, Tina Mozelle Braziel, and Kwoya Fagin Maples

13) WonderKid Studios - workshops and art experiences for kids inspired by nature, science, and recycling. We're building an oversized nest this year as an homage to the 2021 poster!

14) Great giveaways to enter at the festival to win festival swag like T-Shirts, Beer Garden Trail tickets, plus a getaway to Pursell Farms Resort valued at $1400.

15) MRF will continue the vigilance required to keep Moss Rock Festival in compliance with the Alabama and Jefferson County Departments of Health and the City of Hoover.
