Beat the sugar with the butter until creamy.
Add the eggs one by one. Add the sieved flour and baking powder,
alternating it with the beer. Next, add the cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg,
nuts, and raisins soaked in beer. Mix. Put the mixture into a greased
and floured 1.5l (5 cup) cake tin.
Bake in a 350 º F. (175º C) oven for about 45-50 minutes. Leave to get
cold and remove from tin.
