Bachelor's Steak

1 thick porterhouse steak 4 tablespoons butter
Vinegar 1 pound fresh mushrooms
Olive Oil 2 tablespoons flour
Salt 2 cups of beer
Pepper  

Rub the steak with oil and vinegar, season on both sides and let stand in refrigerator.  For a 2 inch steak, broil 6 to 12 minutes on each side in a pre-heated broiler (475 degrees).  A few minutes before the steak is done, sauté sliced mushrooms in butter, season with salt and pepper, add flour, then steak juice from the broiler pan and beer.  Stir well while cooking, let come to a boil, pour over steak and serve.
